Manly Card Stepped Up

Manly4 Today's manly card is a step up based on the same layout as the  last post. I substituted Cocoa Prints for the 2" strip on the inside bottom (edges sponged with Cocoa ink to "manly them up", a piece from the Notebook DSP from Stampin' Up for the front panel (it's been punched with the Spiral Punch and the edges sponged with Rust ink). Twill tape was also sponged with Close to Cocoa ink to dirty it up before double-knotting and threading the ends through a brass buckle from SU's Hodgepodge Hardware (retiring in July so get your's now!) Stamp sets used are It's a Sign and the same greeting from All Holidays -- this time inked using Mustard, Rust and Olive markers. The little love you that looks almost handwritten is from Short & Sweet set. TIP: On the sign I wanted the mustard lighter so it would not compete with the focal point so I inked just that portion, stamped off on scrap paper, then added the Cocoa full strength and stamped it on my Notebook paper.

Manly5 A look inside and you can see how the twill wraps around and the ends are hidden under the greeting focal point on the front, which was popped up with Dimensionals. More manly cards to come so keep checking back or sign up for notification via email in the upper left column.
